The Legends dinner hosted by PNG NRL BID was a successful night attracting over 300 guests. It was an entertaining night as the guests had the opportunity to mingle with the State of Origin Legends.

The night was all about the BID and it raised over K100,000 on the night. All proceeds were donated towards scholarships for the BID’s U15 & U17 Development Squad Players. Auctioned on the night were famous sporting memorabilia with favourites like the signed State of Origin and Brisbane Broncos jerseys.

Attendees at the dinner also had a chance to BID for a spot on the SP Maroons and Bisley Blues teams for the match. This included spending the day with the players, the full playing kit and playing alongside the Origin greats. It was also a chance for parents to BID for their child to lead out the teams onto the field for the game.

The dinner was also attended by NCD Governor Powes Parkop who is a great supporter of the BID. Also in support of the night was the Ela Motors team lead by the National Sales & Marketing Manager Rob McKeon.

Speeches on the night were from PNG legends Marcus Bai and David Westley showing their gratitude for such an international event to be brought into the country and the immense development of rugby league that this event brings to the people of PNG.

To finish of the fun filled night was entertainment from PNG band Jokema.
