The Toyota Ravens were one of nine teams that took part in the first East New Britain Netball Association Competition for 2011. Three Toyota teams were in the competition with an A grade team and two U/21 teams, a total of 30 players.
The Ravens were the best dressed team with strong colours and clean tidy presentation at all events. The Ela Motors sponsored uniforms looked great and were excellent to play in and remain the envy of the other teams. The girls participated every week with strong numbers showing up to play in all games.
The Toyota Ravens were at the top of the table all season with some strong competition for the other local girls. All three Toyota teams made it into the finals at season end with the A grade team losing out in the second semi finals. Blue Raven U21 made it to the Qualifying final only to be beaten out in a tough hard fought match. Red Ravens U21 in an exciting to and fro match was declared final winners to end up as U21 Minor Premiers.
The netball season has drawn to a close in the Islands region and the finals have been played out and presentations made. What a result for the first year in for the Ela Motors, Toyota Ravens Team, winning trophies for:
• Minor Grade Premiers
• Under 21 Divisional Runners Up
• Best Attacking Team
• Best Defensive Team
• Best Organised Team
• 2011 Club of the Year
