Giving Back to the Community
Ela Motors is an active community supporter and as such invests time and money into activities that make a difference to the people of PNG. As an example we support the Business Coalition against HIV/Aids, are an active member of the Fight against TB in Papua New Guinea and assist local communities wherever our branches are located. Health and Education are key priorities for us as they offer the greatest potential to effect change which can be seen and felt by the people who most need this support. As a major employer in PNG we also feel that it is important to ensure the local communities where our staff live are given what assistance we can in order to make their lives better now and for the future.

Ela Motors is proud to donate a Brand new Daihatsu Terios to the Kila Kila Clinic to assist and promote the fight against TB. The gift of the Daihatsu to the Kila 
Kila Clinic symbolizes our partnership with Kila Kila Clinic and promotes the message of our campaign in the private sector to ‘Drive TB Out of PNG’.
As our relationship bonded with Kila Kila Clinic we came to see and understand the work involved with treating TB and the impact of that such a busy little clinic had on the local population which surrounds Ela Motors Badili. The support of the Kila Kila Clinic to the Ela Motors TB Workplace Policy gave way to a response that we could work together. The vital need for a ‘defaulter vehicle’ encouraged the Ela Motors Team find a way to be of assistance.
The ‘Defaulter Vehicle’ will assist the clinic to be able to locate defaulters and provide access to the vital part of the battle with TB – to be able to bring medication to TB Patients who cannot make it to the clinic daily for treatment. So that we can keep treating TB and we can keep our futures.
